I was born in San Francisco, California in 1982. I received an undergraduate degree in Architecture at the University of Oregon in 2006, and also received a minor in art. I currently work solely as a freelance illustrator, and have most recently illustrated for Old Navy's toddler department. I have also illustrated for
PaperCulture,
Ape Do Good Printing, and
FluffyCo, among others.
As of August 2010, I am in the process of moving from San Francisco to Los Angeles. I spend my free time swimming, snuggling with my dachshund, cooking, cultivating succulents, and repairing, riding, and amassing vintage mopeds.
I love mid-century architecture, furniture and design, and it has long been my primary design influence. My favorite contemporary architects are MVRDV out of Rotterdam. My favorite furniture designers are of course Charles and Ray Eames. My favorite shape is the orb. My favorite objects are the commercial airplane and the shipping container. I do not have a favorite color.
I have two very talented sisters,
Noele and
Serene. Noele is a photographer & web designer based in San Francisco and Serene is a graphic designer who lives in Sacramento.
